Yateley Manor School celebrates the success of their sports teams.

The Inspired Learning Group send our congratulations to Yateley Manor School’s sports teams, who recently competed in various Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) events. The Yateley Manor School Sports Department had been working hard to prepare their teams ahead of the tough competitions.

IAPs Basketball Championships

U11 and U13 basketball teams achieved great success in the IAPs Basketball Championships, recently held at Sevenoaks School. Two teams competed, consisting of students from a variety of year groups.

The U11s mixed team was made up of Year 5 pupils, who competed against the Year 6 teams. Reaching the cup knockout rounds, they were able to achieve an impressive third place. The U13s mixed team faced some particularly challenging games, securing a place in the final and winning the silver medal!

IAPs Small Schools Netball Championships

The senior girls U13 netball team also had a triumphant day at the recent IAPs Small Schools Netball Championships. After a day of playing exceptionally well against their opponents, their teamwork and determination led them to come out on top in the final, scoring 8-6 against the other team.

Hannah Roberts, Head of Year 7 & 8, commented on the impressive work of the team.

‘The girls played extremely well throughout the tournament, finishing top of their pool, and making it through to the knock-out stages of the cup. The level of netball from the team was exceptional against tough opposition, leading to a nail-biting final, with the girls winning 8-6. Well done to all the girls involved.’
