We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring, committed individual who will be able to manage our admissions process.

The successful candidate should be proactive, passionate and able to work well in a team. Reporting to Director of Admissions and Marketing as well as key stakeholders this is a crucial role in the development of Saint Felix.

Saint Felix School is an independent co-educational day and boarding school for children aged from 2 – 18, located close to the glorious seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk coast. Our aim is to develop well-rounded students with the skills and the personality to make a success of their lives during and after their school years.

Our success is demonstrated by impressive examination results at GCSE and A Level. The vast majority of our leavers go on to Higher Education.

 

This newly created role will involve taking ownership of and ensuring the swift handling of admissions-related enquiries to Saint Felix.

This is a crucial post which is key to the continued growth and development of the school.

 

The Admissions Manager will be sales focused with a high level of accountability and will be responsible for significantly improving admissions conversion by increasing the number of parent visits, registrations and place acceptances between individual year groups.

You will work collaboratively with the Director of Admissions and Marketing to develop and implement both short-term and longer-term recruitment strategies to ensure Saint Felix School meets its enrolment objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively manage, track and implement the admissions process from enquiry to formal acceptance of a place.
  • Quickly grasp each enquirer’s needs and effectively selling the benefits of the school to meet their needs
  • Ensure timely and effective handling of enquiries and accurate recording of data in a central CRM system
  • Maintain student records both during the admissions process and when pupils have joined the school.
  • Manage the admissions policies and procedures to ensure that they are efficient, compliant with all relevant regulations, up to date and effectively implemented.
  • Establish and implement KPI reporting on a weekly and monthly basis to review performance and adjust activities where necessary
  • In conjunction with the Marketing Team, take a proactive approach to encourage prospective parents along the admissions process and gain valuable insight from any families that withdraw
  • Keep up to date with UK Study Visa requirements.
  • Maintain files of any students subject to immigration control and hold copies of documents as outlined in the Sponsor Guidance and Appendix D of the Immigration Rules
  • Work alongside the Marketing Team to create email templates and implement innovative communications initiatives to drive admissions conversion
  • Influence and train others to improve admissions conversion
  • to ensure the arrangements for testing, interviewing of, and feedback of prospective pupils, including entrance assessment days, scholarships, and other award interviews are undertaken

Required experience:

  • Previous experience of managing a busy admissions department within the education sector (essential)
  • Experience of achieving targets (essential)
  • Previous experience of working closely with marketing teams (essential)
  • Effective stakeholder management with the ability to influence (essential)
  • Experience of inputting into KPI reporting (essential)
