We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified Key Stage 2 class teacher to join Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to join our outstanding school and work with our friendly staff and excellent pupils.

Required for January 2023 this is a Full time permanent role. You will join our Prep department and be a class teacher in Key Stage 2.

Gidea Park Preparatory School and Nursery is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 2 to 11, where pupils get the best start possible and learn in a happy and secure environment. Founded in 1917, we have been educating, nurturing and challenging children for over 100 years. This is an exciting time for you to join our School. We are looking for an innovative key stage 2 class teacher who will be able to continue with the excellent teaching at Gidea Park. You will play a key role in the development of our pupils and in their preparation to progress to secondary school.

To apply, you will need to have QTS and be able to demonstrate your passionate for children’s learning within early years.

We are looking for a teacher who;

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Recent teaching experience in Key stage 2.
  • Can deliver high quality teaching and learning to pupils within Key stage 2.
  • Can inspire children with enthusiasm and a love of learning.
  • Has experience teaching pupils in preparation for their 11+.
  • Has a sound knowledge of the requirements of the national curriculum.
  • Has the ability to prepare and deliver inspiring lessons that take into account the individual needs of all our pupils.
  • Shows the flexibility and adaptability that is the hall mark of Gidea Park staff.
