SEND at ILG

There are very few organisations that genuinely change lives. Inspired Learning Group is one of them.

We exist to change lives… one student, one family, one breakthrough at a time.

Every young person within ILG brings unique strengths, perspectives, and potential. Our purpose is to reveal and nurture that brilliance by shaping education around learners and their families — rather than forcing them to fit predefined systems.

What defines our purpose:

  • Education designed to fit the learner, not the system

  • Genuine partnership with families

  • Long-term outcomes that extend beyond academic success

Children have only one chance.
ILG is committed to getting it right, first time, every time.

Our Approach

Learning doesn’t look the same for everyone — and that matters.

Learning happens differently
Every student processes the world in their own way. One-size-fits-all education doesn’t work for everyone — and when it fails, it’s not the child who is the problem, but the system around them.

Families need genuine partnership
Parents and carers know their children better than anyone. They deserve schools that listen, collaborate, and value their insight — not ones that dictate from a distance.

Society benefits from neurodiversity
Different ways of thinking fuel creativity, innovation, and progress. Our students have perspectives the world needs — when they’re given the opportunity to flourish.

For Students

ILG schools are designed to recognise and build on individual strengths.

  • Students’ lived experiences inform how learning is shaped

  • Strengths are prioritised over perceived deficits

  • Progress is personalised, not system-driven

  • Preparation focuses on independence, confidence, and future pathways

  • Students are known, valued, and supported as individuals

For Families

Families are recognised as essential partners in every student’s journey.

  • Parents’ insight and advocacy are actively respected

  • Collaboration is built on trust, openness, and equality

  • Communication is honest, consistent, and transparent

  • Progress is shared and celebrated collectively

  • Family wellbeing is recognised as integral to student success

For the Wider Community

ILG demonstrates what meaningful inclusion can achieve.

  • Neurodiverse perspectives strengthen communities

  • Educational success benefits employers, partners, and society

  • Commissioners engage with ILG as trusted, accountable partners

  • Proven outcomes challenge assumptions and reshape expectations

ILG’s work is grounded in daily intentional action.

Every day represents:

  • An opportunity for a student to discover their capabilities

  • A moment for families to gain confidence and clarity

  • A chance to create outcomes that extend beyond the individual

ILG measures success by:

  • Students developing confidence, agency, and ambition

  • Families moving from uncertainty to trust

  • Neurodivergent strengths being recognised as essential, not exceptional

  • Sustainable impact across schools, communities, and the wider sector
